Beach East is the largest Urban Beach in the UK as well as having a range of Fair Rides, Beach activities, Food options & A beach bar. It costs £2 to enter, but you get £2 worth of vouchers to spend on the rides, food & drink. The Beach was there throughout the whole School summer holidays and was great place to relax on our busy trip exploring Stratford & the Olympic Park (Full Trip Post Here)
If your looking for a relaxing quiet day on the beach, this isn’t the place to go as it gets very busy, but was a great atmosphere and the brilliant weather made it a great afternoon.
Also, one of the Official Team GB Fanzones was located towards the back of the event with sports available to have a go at such as rowing & boxing, a Team GB merchandise van as well as the important big screen to watch all the action happening in Rio.
This was a great place to settle down with some food & drink on giant Union Flag cushions & deck chairs so we ended up staying till late watching Team GB do brilliantly in the trampolining & track cycling. Before we left we couldn’t resist having a few rides on the fun fair!
