Vogue Supreme 5* Resort, Bodrum, Turkey – Review

The Vogue Hotel Supreme is one of the many all inclusive and luxury resort-style hotels on the northern coastline area of Bodrum in Turkey.

Arrival & Room

As the resort is on the northern coastline area of Bodrum, around a 15 minute taxi journey is all it takes to get from the centre. As our car descended the hill from the main highroad, we were immediately enclosed in this bustling resort, driving past the waterpark on the right and the amusement park on the left. The first impressions were how huge the entire complex was and that could be seen just by the drive in. We checked in at the main hotel building and was given the entertainment guide for the day showing a huge amount of sporting, entertainment and fun activities to get involved in. Before we knew it, we were soon picked up by the golf buggy who whisked us away to our chalet-type accommodation they call garden rooms. Nothing too fancy, but nothing too basic, everything you could possibly ask for was included, while it had neat luxury touches and a huge widescreen tv! Dressing gowns, all the bathroom accessories and a totally free bar filled with around 10 most popular drinks to indulge in.

The Amazing Waterpark

Taking full advantage of the facilities as soon as possible, we jumped into our swimming outfits and ran up to the top of the resort to the waterpark which was just a 100 metres or so from our room. Now with most hotels you expect to find a few slides and a decent pool to keep you entertained, but here was a full blown waterpark that you would be happy paying an entrance fee alone to enter. With over 20 slides, wave pool, giant family area, and plenty of food and drink, many hours can be lost here, you could even spend the entire day here if you wanted to. This entire area is a complex in itself, called Candyland which also includes the Amusement Park area right adjacent to the waterpark. We stayed for a good few hours, even though most of the slides were queue-free! Usually I would expect to waste most of the time queuing for slides but with no lines at all, we just went around going on whatever we chose, gradually building courage to try the bigger ones. And ‘big’ sides there was! Launching out of a cobra snake feeling like you were free-falling down the hill was probably the most thrilling!

Activities & Entertainment

Not being one for lying on a sunbed all day soaking up the sun’s rays, I like a wealth of activities to keep me entertained. This is where Vogue shines, the packed daytime activity program means there is something going on every hour, whether that be a beach volleyball tournament or water zumba. With a huge amount of sporting equipment and facilities too, you don’t have to wait around for a session, just grab whatever you fancy and enjoy with your own family & friends. In the evening, the outdoor bar comes to life with top acts taking to the stage every night. The entertainment varies hugely, on our short stay there we saw a band one evening and full blown circus dance act the next. The quality was excellent, it would not look out of place in a theatre, as the make up, choreography and production of the shows were top class. With a free bar and disco following into the early hours, it’s something you shouldn’t miss.

Food & Drink

Talking of drinks, yes most of the food and beverage you consume is included in your stay, the mini-bar in your room is refreshed daily and the large buffet restaurant will be accommodate your breakfast, lunch, dinner and midnight buffet! When it’s closed the food stalls & cafes were a favourite of mine dishing up Turkish pancakes, ice cream, fresh fruit and cakes during the day. The quality of all the food at the resort is actually quite impressive to say it’s mass production. At the buffet restaurant, there a specific areas where you can get chefs to freshly prepare omelettes, pasta dishes and chicken with whichever ingredients you want. You are spoilt for choice with salad and dessert items too, the colours and variety was incredible. The resort does have some A la carte restaurants for an extra charge, but we didn’t get a chance to check them out.

The Beach, Pools & the Theme Park

In addition to the thrilling waterpark area, Vogue features 3 pools next to the main hotel, providing a much more relaxing feel. Within a minutes walk, the huge beach area is much more than sand. There are 3 piers with lounging beds and lots of little comfy areas to rest, along with some hanging beds inland. When relaxing on one of the many sunbeds, 3 giant water fountains (they like the number 3!) shoot up from the sea at times too, a bit random and unnecessary but a pleasant surprise! The sea itself, like most of the Turkey coastline, was heaven, clear waters, soothing waves, and plenty of fish swimming about. Adjacent to the water park is the theme park which is part of the huge ‘Candyland’ complex. This only opens for a couple of hours in the evening so schedule a trip after dinner. The park doesn’t contain a crazy amount of thrills, but a good mix of rides for everyone including a giant observation wheel, I just wish it opened during the day so you can admire the Bodrum coastline in all it’s light, rather than just darkness.

Vogue Supreme Hotel will keep you entertained for days, with the amount of activities and facilities. Only being a 15 minute taxi ride to Bodrum means a day trip is definitely on the cards too. The centre has more than enough to keep you entertained, see my post of the city here. If you are in search of a fun family all inclusive resort then you can’t really get better than here.

  1. This hotel looks amazing! I’ve only ever been to Turkey during a stopover but I’d love to head over there at some point. This hotel in particular seems to have so much on offer, looks like you had a great time 🙂
